Our CEO Lance Manins was up in Whangarei last week and came across an Holden Colorado Ute with a mighty V8 engine. Here’s what he had to say about it.
“V8 COLORADO ! ! – At last someone has had the foresight in NZ to say “Hey Guys , Lets chuck a V8 in a Colorado Ute ” ! ! ! . . . yes the team up at #markcromieholden up in sunny Whangarei have done it and we drove it yesterday and it is everything we thought it would be ! ! The photographed version was essentially an LS3 engine transplant only into an LTZ 4×4 with standard transmission, drivetrain, suspension etc and will retail for around $100k. Considering the entry points for Ford Raptor and HSV this makes a great alternative. We would suggest that if you are in the market at this price point then you should consider going the extra mile to create something really special,. Big 20’s, Disc brake package ! Suspension package, body kits etc.”
We reckon it’s a great ute if you’re looking to get the job done right the first time.
