I paid cash for 2 new vans prior to lockdown, after COVID 19, with the future uncertain, I decided to lease the 3rd one that I needed through Rob Gale at Driveline. The whole experience was awesome, Rob went far above and beyond to make things happen in the time frame I needed, nothing was too much, and when I look at the low costs I’m paying, I should have leased the other 2 as well! I have just returned my Leased Ute to my old leasing company and while it was in excellent condition they sent me a $4000 bill for the pickiest of things! Driveline doesn’t have these kinds of charges and you know what you’re paying for, from day one. I know what I will be doing in the future and who to recommend without hesitation. We upgraded our GPS for extra $2000 and it took over 6 weeks and wrong bits sent to install even though our brand new Renault Crew was held back for two weeks because they told us it was being installed only to ring us 2 days before we were flying to Auckland to pick it up that it hadn’t arrived from Australia. The issues we had and still having two months later has really annoyed me, the latest having to tell them the new GPS isn’t set up with reverse camera, why didn’t they check and the sewing on the upholstery is showing foam coming through so now we have to take the van back to Auckland to be fixed. They turned purchasing a brand new vehicle into a nightmare instead of a beautiful experience that some never experience. Paul listened to what I asked for and quoted on that and when we initially thought we would get through a dealer he was gracious and offered to help in any way he could. Paul called dealer to confirm our ute was not on the containers turned away from Auckland and then rang us to let us know. The online service made cost comparisons with other lease companies easier to compare. It also made deciding between car leasing and car ownership easier for me to calculate. The whole process was so quick too. It took 7 working days from preliminary credit application to picking up a brand new vehicle. That’s impressive by any standard, especially when you account for the fact that I was still deciding on a vehicle during the credit process.
