As 2023 ends we mourn the loss of the Clean Car Discount and celebrate the end of the Ute Tax that unfairly penalised hard working kiwis.
Many of our clients were super happy with the Clean Car Discount scheme because it helped drive the transition to electric mobility in New Zealand. On your behalf we mourn its loss.
On the other hand, we heard from many others who felt the scheme unfairly penalised tradies and other hard working kiwis who need to haul loads and have no other choice. On your behalf we celebrate the end of the dreaded Ute Tax.
Merry Christmas for Ute Buyers
There’s now a queue of people waiting for 31 December 2023 to roll past, and with it the end of the Ute Tax and the beginning of their opportunity to get into a new ute without the harsh penalty.
From 1 January 2024 utes will become up to $6,900 cheaper when the Clean Car fee is removed.
