AA’s Dec-2022 industry update says Ford Ranger was the #1 selling light commercial and overall top selling vehicle for the 2022 calendar year.
No wonder Ford Ranger was AA Driven New Zealand Car of the Year in 2022.
Ford Ranger also cleaned up the sales stats in the final month of the year, being both the number one selling light commercial and overall top selling vehicle for the month of December 2022.
Light commercial vehicles (mainly vans and utes) and SUVs made up 78% of all vehicle sales last year, while passenger vehicles (cars) accounted for 17% according to MIA stats.
That lines up exactly with what we are seeing from our clients, with 8 in 10 vehicles we financed last year being utes and SUVs.
