Tesla Model 3 price, impressive range, acceleration, and sleek design, make it the #1 choice for environmentally conscious consumers.
In this article, we’ll dive into the virtues of the Model 3 and take a look at some of the other models in the Tesla range, as well as the innovative technology and manufacturing processes that set Tesla apart from the competition.
Tesla Model 3
With a range of up to 600 km on a single charge, Tesla Model 3 is one of the longest-range EVs on the market. And it can recharge up to 299 km in 15 minutes at Supercharger locations.
The Performance variant accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.3 seconds, faster than gas-guzzling performance cars like the BMW M240i Coupe or Audi A5 Sportback.
The Model 3 is also packed with a state-of-the-art infotainment system, including a 15-inch touch screen display that puts everything you need at your fingertips.
Its minimalist design, spacious interior, and cutting-edge features, including Autopilot, which is Tesla’s semi-autonomous driving system, make the Model 3 a top choice for those seeking a high-tech, eco-friendly vehicle.

What sets Tesla apart?
So what sets Tesla apart from other automakers? It all comes down to the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. Tesla has always been at the forefront of EV technology.
Tesla’s technology is years ahead of the competition according to Sandy Munro, an engineering consultant who dissects and analyses cars for a living. Munro called Tesla’s technology “5 to 6 years ahead” of the competition and praised the company’s battery and motor design, as well as its software and manufacturing processes.
Giga Factories
Tesla is currently building a network of Giga Factories around the world. These massive manufacturing plants not only produce Tesla vehicles, but also batteries and other components and sub-assemblies that other manufacturers outsource to independent suppliers.
Tesla’s Giga Factories are key to reducing the cost of EVs and making them more accessible to buyers. Tesla’s commitment to sustainability extends to its manufacturing processes, as the company aims to reduce waste and use renewable energy sources wherever possible.
Giga Press
One of the most impressive innovations to come out of Tesla’s Giga Factories is the Giga Press.
This massive machine, weighing over 400 tonnes and the size of a house, produces a clamping force of over 9,000 tons and can stamp out entire front and rear underbodies in one piece.
Traditional manufacturing used by all other auto makers, on the other hand, requires around 60 pieces to be welded together, so Tesla’s Giga Press is a huge improvement.
The Giga Press process forces a precise amount of molten aluminium at a temperature of 850 °C into a mould using 9,000 tons of pressure. The finished casting is removed by a robot, cooled, then trimmed to the approximate edges.
Excess aluminium is recycled back into the melting oven.
The casting is X-rayed to check the internal structure, trimmed by laser, drilled for fittings, and then computer-measured for accuracy.
Meanwhile, the open mould is cooled and cleaned by robots, and fresh molten aluminium is prepared for the next cycle to begin ~80-90 seconds after the first cycle, allowing an output rate of ~1,000 completed castings per day.
Giga Press produces parts that are stronger, lighter, and more durable than traditional parts, and is just one example of the innovative manufacturing processes that Tesla is using to produce high-quality, sustainable vehicles.
